ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Mayor Raymond “MonMon” Malapajo of Maayon, who also presides over the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) Capiz chapter, recently engaged in a fruitful meeting with four senators at the Senate of the Philippines.

Malapajo considered it a significant honor to present key issues and developmental plans for Maayon to Senators Rafael “Raffy” Tulfo, Maria Lourdes “Nancy” Binay, Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, and Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr.

“The offices of the four senators are willing to extend their assistance for additional TUPAD projects, financial aid from Aid in Individual Crisis Situations (AICS), and more budgets for infrastructure projects in Maayon town,” he said

The mayor spearheaded a Capiz mayoral delegation at the 24th LMP National Executive Committee Meeting and subsequent General Assembly, which took place from February 27 to 29 in Metro Manila.

In attendance from Capiz were 13 mayors, representing both the first and second districts, demonstrating a strong collaborative presence from the region.

The 24th LMP National Executive Committee and General Assembly had the distinct privilege of hosting President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. as their guest speaker.

In his current role, Malapajo serves as the LMP presidential adviser for economic affairs, continuing his commitment to both municipal and national development.
