After three years of absence, the “MALUMPATI ECO-RUN” finally staged its long-awaited comeback last April 23, 2023, at the Malumpati Watershed in the Province of Antique.

In partnership with the LGU-Pandan and the Province of Antique, the “MALUMPATI ECO-RUN 2.0” was a success and was embraced by hundreds of participants.

This event primarily aims to boost Eco-tourism activities in the Municipality of Pandan and raise awareness on the health benefits of running.

The prestigious event had four categories for both the male and female divisions namely: 3-km, 10-km, 21-km, and 42-km.

For the male 3-km event, Allen Candari bagged first place honors followed by Laurence Caminoy as the second placer and Joey Domenden winning third.

Ramonito Cualbar meanwhile dominated the male 10-km category with Niel John Lacerdo and Alron John Samillano winning second and third, respectively.

Jaster Sajonia had his grip on the 21-km male trophy while Jason Apolinario and Jero Matheus Jaro fell short of winning the gold but managed to clinch a podium finish.

In the last male category, the 42-km, Joebert Elmaguin grabbed the spotlight after reigning supreme while Renero Edano finished second and Jun Ramires third.

For the female category, Mari Flora Bautista nabbed first place in the 3-km category with Anyag Dionela and Jonalyn Ambubuyog settling for second and third, respectively.

Rodela Aros meanwhile prevailed over EMS Corener and Jee Maria Osorio in the 10-km category while Angie Alejo and Jennylyn Nobleza were hailed as champions in the 21-km and 42-km categories, respectively.

A portion of the proceeds of this event will go to several PBI Batch 2000 projects which include an Adopt-A-Public School Program and a tree planting activity.
