BACOLOD CITY – Two individuals were arrested in separate anti-drug operations in this city and in Victorias City, Negros Occidental, with authorities seizing a total of PHP1.29 million worth of suspected shabu.
Operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) arrested “Yin,” 24, of Barangay 2, who was temporarily residing in Barangay Pahanocoy, Bacolod City.
The suspect allegedly yielded 120 grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP816,000 during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sum-ag early Tuesday.
Police identified the suspect as a high-value individual.
In Victorias City, “Inday,” a 44-year-old lending collector from Barangay 9, was arrested Monday in Barangay 6 with 70 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP476,000.
On April 9, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) dismantled a suspected drug den in Purok Katilingban, Barangay Banago, Bacolod City.
Five individuals were arrested during the operation.
Authorities seized 17 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of PHP115,600.
Confiscated items included 16 grams of suspected illegal drugs, four improvised glass tooters with residue, PHP500 in marked money, PHP120 in cash, and four lighters.
