BACOLOD CITY—A 21-year-old man died after being accidentally shot by his 17-year-old friend in Barangay Tabunan, Bago City, Negros Occidental, last Sunday.

Based on police investigation, the minor and another friend were sweeping the floor inside the teenager’s house when the victim arrived and reportedly asked the minor to get his stepfather’s firearm.

As the minor was about to hand over the firearm to the victim, he allegedly unintentionally pulled the trigger, causing the firearm to discharge accidentally.

The minor was turned over to the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) for proper disposition, while the firearm is in the custody of the evidence custodian.
