BACOLOD City – Police are looking into the possibility that the man, who was found dead at Purok Riverside, Barangay Napoles, Bago City, Negros Occidental on Sunday night, was a drug personality.
This, after police recovered a drug tooter from the victim who has yet to be identified as of this writing.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Jay Malong, city police chief, said the victim was found lifeless beside a motorcycle around 8:30 p.m.
He suffered four gunshot wounds in the body, according to Malong.
Prior to the killing, a witness saw two persons allegedly talking. After a while, gunshots were heard.
The victim was taken to Bago City Hospital, but he passed away later that night.
Police also recovered from the victim a coin purse containing P250.
Despite suspecting the victim was a drug personality, Malong said they could not yet tell if the incident could be drug-related.
He said they need to identify the victim first before they could establish the motive.
Malong said they are checking the motorcycle to help them identify the victim.
