A 23-year-old painter was arrested for a sextortion complaint lodged by a 20-year-old married woman.
Ian Jasper Pastolero, a resident of Barangay Gen. Hughes, City Proper, Iloilo City was nabbed in an entrapment operation 7:30 p.m. of May 11, 2022 at Sofia Lodge in Barangay Infante, Molo district.
Hours prior to the incident, Lyn (real name withheld), who hails from Lambunao, Iloilo, personally went to the police to ask assistance after the suspect sent a message through Messenger asking her to have sexual intercourse with him.
When the woman thumbed down the suspect’s offer, the latter allegedly threatened to upload on the internet their sex video and her nude videos and photos.
Pastolero claimed that the videos and photos will also be sent to the complainant’s friends and family members.
An entrapment operation was immediately launched.
While inside the lodge’s Room 48, the suspect allegedly forced and threatened Lyn to have sex with him.
In exchange for sex, the suspect promised to delete their video and Lyn’s nude videos and photos stored in his mobile phone.
The woman then shouted for help which signaled police authorities to barge into the room.
Pastolero was naked when police caught him.
Police recovered the suspect’s mobile phone. It will be turned over to PNP Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit-6 (RACU-6) for evaluation.
According to the complainant, she met the suspect in March 2022 through Facebook.
Lyn claimed that she and her husband have been on a rough patch, and she was thinking of leaving him.
She told police investigators that she also needed money.
It was then that she decided to meet someone through Facebook.
Lyn claimed the suspect took videos and photos of her without her knowledge.
After their initial meet up, Lyn claimed the suspect did not give her any money.
But Pastolero denied Lyn’s accusation.
Despite his denial, Pastolero will still be charged before the prosecutor.
