A native of Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte was arrested after he allegedly molested a 2-year-old girl in Kalibo, Aklan.
Police only identified the suspect as alias Bossing, 30, who is presently residing in Kalibo, Aklan.
Police Master Sergeant Vanessa Roldan, chief of the Kalibo Police Station-Women and Children’s Protection Desk, said the victim is the daughter of the suspect’s boardmate.
An inquest case for rape was filed against Bossing on Wednesday, Oct. 30.
The incident came into open after the family and the suspect finished dinner. The mother allegedly noticed something dripping from the victim’s undergarment.
The victim was brought to the bathroom and the mother saw a wound on the girl’s genital.
The child then pointed to Bossing as the one responsible for the gash.
The girl’s parents were around when the incident happened but they had no inkling of what happened.
The suspect vehemently denied the accusations against him. He claimed that he treated the couple and their daughter as family.
But Roldan said a medical examination confirmed fresh lacerations on the girl’s genital.
As of Thursday morning, the suspect was already remitted to Aklan Rehabilitation Center while the case against him is being heard.
