BACOLOD City – A man was gunned down by three unidentified men at their house in Barangay Macagahay, Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental on Sept 26, 2019.
Killed was Anjie Cesar, 28.
Police investigation showed that Cesar along with his brothers were sitting at an alley in front of their house when the assailants arrived and asked for water.
Cesar assisted them and while they were walking, the gunmen allegedly shot him several times. He died on the spot.
Police recovered from the scene two fired bullets of .45 caliber pistol and a pouch of .38 caliber revolver.
Police have yet to determine the motive.
Police Captain Hancel Lumandaz, town police chief, said they cannot yet tell if the incident was insurgency-related, though there were alleged reports that the victim was a former member of the New People’s Army (NPA).
He said such allegation has yet to be confirmed.
