ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A warrant of arrest was served against a 26-year-old man for an attempted homicide case Thursday afternoon, May 18, at Poblacion Ilaya, Panitan, Capiz.
Glen Sobrepeña Dador of Brgy. Capagao, Panitan, Capiz did not resist when the warrant issued by Judge Socorro Rapiz Oliveros of the Municipal Trial Court in Panitan, Capiz on May 8, 2023 was served by Panitan police.
The court recommended a P36,000 bail for his temporary liberty. He is presently detained at Panitan Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
Meanwhile, a 40-year-old ex-convict was arrested by the police for allegedly stealing the money of a neighbor Wednesday afternoon, May 17, at Barangay Pangabuan, Jamindan, Capiz.
Norma Hinalan, 68, reported to the police that her neighbor Ernesto Inaudito allegedly took her money from her bag.
Hinalan told the Jamindan Municipal Police Station that Inaudito offered to sell his chicken eggs. But the victim refused and instead gave him P100 and the suspect walked away afterward.
The victim added that she later noticed that her bag was already opened and she discovered that her P15,000 cash was missing.
She went to Jamindan PNP to complain. The police then conducted a hot pursuit operation against the suspect.
Inaudito was found drinking liquor in a nearby store.
The police recovered from the suspect P6,100 which is believed to be part of the stolen amount. He later admitted stealing the money and apologized to the victim.
Inaudito was detained at Jamindan PNP for proper disposition but was later released after the reglementary period of detention lapsed.
The police have yet to file a case against him.
