PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial reiterated that the full four-man roster for the upcoming FIBA 3×3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament (OQT) could practice together 100%.

“All out ang suporta ng liga sa mga sasali sa OQT. Sigurado na yun, mag-allot tayo ng oras para makapag-ensayo yung mga players natin sa 3×3,” Marcial confirmed.

With that being said, the lineup of Moala Tautaa (San Miguel Beermen), CJ Perez (Beermen), Joshua Munzon (rookie), and Alvin Pasaol (rookie) will be given enough time to jell together before the OQT begins.

There will be two more months to prepare before the final battle in Graz, Austria and the 3×3 organizing committee is hoping to clinch the right mix they need to bring home the win.

To add help for the preparations, Marcial will take a look at the incoming PBA season’s schedule of games and will task the office in-charge to adjust the 3×3 members’ teams’ slated games to avoid conflict with their practice.

Gilas Pilipinas will be going up against Slovenia, France, Qatar, and Dominican Republic in Pool C and will seek to advance and nab one of the three final spots.

The 3×3 squad was formed last 2019 by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas and believed that the four-man roster will best represent the country in 3×3.
