After bagging the silver medal in Japan, Josephine Medina this time notched the gold medal in Bangkok, Thailand in the women’s singles 7-8 category in the 2019 International Table Tennis Federation Para Open.
The self-coached Medina stormed through the tourney as she cruised past several opponents in straight sets, including an impressive win against Wong Yue Ching of Hong Kong, 3-0, and Fadhik Sitti of Indonesia, 3-0.
During the finals, Medina dismantled Christina Wolfe in straight sets fashion, 3-0.
To reach the finals, Medina fought and canceled out five other Paralympians to continue her campaign in reigning the Table Tennis Para Opens.
