The Philippine’s 2nd largest property developer MEGAWORLD has recently appointed Qatar-based Ilonggo international realtor Joseph Timothy Rivera as Vice President for Sales for Special Projects & Territories for it’s international marketing division that will focus on property giant’s prime industrial & commercial sales.
Rivera brings with him his vast experience in investment promotions being a former consultant and special advisor to the director general for the Middle East and Northern Europe of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) where he still remains as one of PEZA’s accredited Investment Promotions Partners (KaPIPPs). PEZA is the Philippine’s largest investment promotion agency attached to the government’s Department of Trade & Industry.
With Qatar as his strategic hub, Rivera’s appointment strengthens the potential of showcasing more Philippine business opportunities to the abundant Arab capital market in the gulf with a wide array of property investment options from Megaworld’s 8 economic zones consisting of IT Parks, Tourism & Cyber Tourism centers and industrial export manufacturing estates particularly it’s flagship projects in Western Visayas namely Iloilo Business Park, Santa Barbara Heights, & Boracay New Coast .
In collaboration with Direct Real Estate, Rivera’s primary employer & sponsor in Qatar for more than 10 years now, Megaworld will soon be launching it’s aggressive marketing of it’s Philippine commercial and industrial offerings from Doha to beyond the Arabian peninsula to as far as Europe to the north and then Iran to the east and all the way to China to include most offshore financial jurisdictions.
Megaworld has so far developed 24 townships with more than 69 office towers, has built 696 residential development projects, operates 19 lifestyle malls and 9 hotels and has 4,688 hectares more in it’s land bank awaiting development in the Philippines.
Rivera’s new assignment is actually now his 3rd tour of duty with Megaworld after serving as Megaworld International’s Vice President for Sales for the Middle East, Africa and South America from 2011 to 2014 and as Senior Sales Manager and Division Head for Megaworld Corporation in the Philippines from 1999 to 2002.
