As the holiday season approaches, the Iloilo Dinagyang Foundation, Inc. (IDFI) is inviting choirs from across the region to join the highly anticipated Mga Tingug sang Paskwa 2024, a choral competition celebrating the joy and spirit of Christmas.
The event promises to bring together talented vocal ensembles in a harmonious display of Filipino musicality.
The competition, open to all Filipino choirs with members aged 16 and above, will feature a showcase of both technical and artistic singing abilities.
Choirs interested in participating are required to submit a registration form, a video performance between 3-5 minutes featuring any song and a Christmas-themed song, and fully pay the registration fee of ₱2,000.
Video submissions will be evaluated on the basis of musicality, artistic expression, and technical performance.
From the pool of entries, 10 finalists will be selected to compete for the top prizes.
The three best choirs will receive awards, while the remaining finalists will take home consolation prizes.
All participants who meet the requirements will be given a Certificate of Participation as a token of appreciation.
The competition is set to create a festive atmosphere, encouraging local choirs to share their vocal talents and celebrate the holiday season in a meaningful way.
