BACOLOD City – A man and his minor-companion were arrested for alleged act of lasciviousness and illegal possession of firearms at Barangay Talaban, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental last Friday.
Police identified one of the suspects as Alvin Equibal, 25. The minor’s name was withheld.
Investigation indicated that the 20-year-old woman along with her classmates, were riding a tricycle when the suspects flagged down their tricycle for a ride.
But while they were traveling, Equibal allegedly rubbed and touched the thigh of the victim.
The victim shouted for help and a bystander at the area held the suspects.
After a few minutes, police officers arrived and recovered from Equibal a caliber .357 magnum revolver loaded with four ammunitions, while the minor yielded a caliber .22 caliber magnum loaded with four ammunitions.
Both suspects are in the custody of Himamaylan City Police Station.
