MOA Signing for the Ilonggo film CANDÈ

After months of preproduction work that involved script development, crewing, casting, location scouting and nailing the shooting schedules, Candè is finally greenlighted by the Executive Producers Atty. Jobert and Ms. Rhea Peñaflorida by inking the MOA with the film Writer/Director Kevin Pison Piamonte and Supervising Producer Bobby Rodriguez. Standing as witness to the MOA signing is Christian Salcedo who is also the Production Manager of the film project.

The film is set to be shot starting January of 2024. Led by Ilonggo pride and FAMAS-winning director KEVIN PISON PIAMONTE and Ilonggo trailblazing businessman and civic leader ATTY. JOBERT PEÑAFLORIDA together with his entrepreneur wife, MS. RHEA PEÑAFLORIDA team up to bring to Iloilo a cinematic work that will celebrate our Ilonggo heritage, faith, and kinship through a film entitled CANDÈ.

Candè is about Timothy who goes home to Iloilo after 21 years to bury his only childhood playmate. Filled with bittersweet memories, he hopes to resolve the mysteriously tragic incident that greatly affected their friendship and to finally free himself from the guilt that he has long carried with him.

Through ERK Film Production, this full-length film project is envisioned to capture the Ilonggo identity which centers on religious faith, love for family, and the universal truths about friendship.

The film is also anchored on a genuine cause. This film is for the benefit of TAOS PUSO FOUNDATION, INC., (TPFI) an NGO in the Provinces of Iloilo and Guimaras that supports the livelihood and welfare of women and children. CANDÈ specifically aims to benefit the livelihood projects of TPFI.

Daily Guardian is a proud Official Media Partner of Candè.
