The Mobile Legends Bang Bang (MLBB) mobile game will officially take place at the Philippine collegiate level through the Collegiate Center for Esports (CCE).

There will reportedly be 10 schools that will grace the prestigious tournament namely: Arellano, St. Benilde, Emilio Aguinaldo College, Jose Rizal University, Letran, Lyceum, Mapua, San Beda, San Sebastian, and Perpetual.

However, most of the schools are yet to find their pool of MLBB players with just several months left before the competition kicks off.

The CCE will first hold the Mobile Legends 5-on-5 Varsity Cup this November before the CCE grand season starts.

“The popularity of esports is there. The students are seeing it as a chance to play in the big leagues someday,” said Arellano athletics director Peter Cayco.

Further changes and announcements will be made by the CCE if there would be one including interested schools or concerns about the rosters.

“It’s just the beginning and we look forward to the further growth and development down the road with the interest of our student-athletes remaining as the top priority,” said CCE president Edwin Chiong.
