Moises Padilla mayor tightens border control

BACOLOD City – Mayor Ella Celestina Garcia-Yulo of Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental, tightened border controls in the town due to the upsurge in coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in the province.

Yulo signed Executive Order No. 42, series of 2020, establishing quarantine control points at the entrance of the municipality effective Monday.

The EO required all transient individuals entering the town to present a medical certificate stating that they are not persons under monitoring or investigation and Barangay Certification from their respective cities/municipalities.

They would also be required to present a valid ID, otherwise they will be denied entry to the town.

Meanwhile, residents of the municipality who will be staying overnight in high-risk areas will be required to undergo quarantine upon returning to the town.
