BACOLOD City – An estimated P338,000 worth of suspected shabu were seized here and in Negros Occidental in anti-illegal drug operations from July 24 to 25.
On June 24, Stephen Chavez was collared at Barangay 10 here which led in the recovery of 12 sachets of suspected shabu worth P150,000, the P500 marked money, and an improvised tooter. He is detained at Police Station 2.
In San Carlos City, Alfonso Genzola, 25, of Barangay Rizal; Gibson Olmedo, 32, of Barangay Buluangan Proper; and J.R. Pardillo, 19, of Barangay 1 were arrested at Barangay 1 last Monday after police confiscated from them six sachets of suspected shabu weighing 11 grams worth P132,000, the P400 cash, and P2,000 bogus money, and the P500 marked money.
In Cadiz City, Ariel Muega, 39, of Barangay Tiglawigan was nabbed Monday for alleged possession of five sachets of suspected shabu worth P10,000, the P500 marked money, a .357 revolver, and two fired bullets of the said firearm, a pair of scissors, an improvised tooter, and a bamboo clip.
The following day, Mylyn Villasis, and Mariz Elizalde were arrested at Barangay 1 here for alleged possession of seven sachets of suspected shabu weighing three grams worth P36,000, and the P500 marked money.
Also arrested yesterday at Barangay Taculing here was Michael Jimenea. Police seized from him four sachets of suspected shabu worth P10,000, the P300 marked money, and P100 cash.
Jimenea is detained at Police Station 6.
