ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A father and his son, both wanted for murder, were arrested Wednesday afternoon, July 31, at Sitio Ilawod, Barangay Daplas, Dao, Capiz.
Police identified the suspects as Benjamin Cuaga, 67, the Top 3 most wanted, and his son Benjur Cuaga, 33, the Top 4 most wanted man, both in Dao town.
The two, along with another suspect, Ruben Cagua, 36, also of Barangay Daplas, were charged with stabbing and hitting their neighbor Renaldo with a hard object on the evening of March 1, 2024, in the rice fields of Barangay Daplas.
Ruben, a son of Benjamin, is currently at large and subject to a police manhunt.
The warrants of arrest were issued by Judge Kristine B. Tiangco-Vinculado of Regional Trial Court Branch 16, Roxas City, on July 30, 2024.
The court recommended no bail for their temporary liberty. The two are in the custody of Dao PNP station.
