ROXAS CITY, Capiz— A mother and her daughter died from electrocution inside their house Tuesday afternoon at Barangay Bato Panay, Capiz.

Police identified the victims as Analie Gonzales, 48, and her daughter Marie Stella, 20, who were both declared dead by the attending physician.

Investigation by the Panay Municipal Police Station indicated that Analie was about to enter the room when she accidentally touched an open live wire.

Marie Stella, who was about to go out of the house to buy food, heard her mother shouting for help.

The daughter quickly entered the room and saw her mother on the floor.

Marie Stella then hugged her mother, but she too was electrocuted.

Their neighbors responded and brought the victims to a hospital in Roxas City.

The two suffered third degree burns and injuries in different parts of their bodies.

The police ruled out allegations that the laptop used by the daughter in her online class was the cause of the electrocution.

Only the two victims were in the house as Analie’s husband was attending to their hollow blocks business.
