Down 2 sets to none, Motolite used all the tricks they had in their sleeves to pull off a masterful comeback victory against the young and talented Choco Mucho Flying Titans, 25-27, 15-25, 25-18, 25-17, 18-16, in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference.
Choco Mucho seemed headed to a win against Motolite in straight sets, but the more experienced Motolite team came up big during the clutch moments to regain momentum.
Climbing back from a two-set hole, Motolite used their tremendous net defense to control Choco Mucho’s offensive attacks, including Kat Tolentino’s 33-point explosion that went to a losing effort.
Iris Tonelada came up huge for Motolite, as she delivered 46 excellent sets to set up most of their attacks.
Isa Molde stuffed the stat sheet as she chipped in 23 points, 18 excellent digs and 10 excellent receptions for the Motolite squad.
Choco Mucho controlled the pace for the majority of the first two sets as Tolentino was unstoppable, but later on was halted, courtesy of Motolite’s collective effort on the offensive and defensive end.
