MThermal Panay Energy, a subsidiary of Global Business Power Corporation (MThermal), recently honored the academic excellence of outstanding students in its host communities through the MVP Academic Achievement Awards (MVP AAA) of One Meralco Foundation (OMF).
The awards ceremony was held on February 26, 2025, at the GBP Institute of Energy in La Paz, Iloilo City, where five (5) academic achievers and four (4) top achievers were recognized for their exemplary academic performance.
The event celebrated not just individual achievements but also MThermal’s steadfast commitment to nurturing education as a vital pillar of community development.
Erick R. Sarino, Vice President and Deputy Site Head of MThermal Panay Energy, personally congratulated the honorees and presented medals and certificates to each awardee.

The program was also attended by One Meralco Foundation (OMF) President Jeffrey Tarayao, who underscored the significance of recognizing academic excellence.

The MVP AAA is an annual program of One Meralco Foundation which provides educational grants to selected top-performing students who are dependents of rank-and-file and supervisory employees of Meralco and its subsidiaries. MThermal Panay Energy’s participation in this program underscores its dedication to giving back to the community and promoting education as a key driver of progress and development.
