MY MEANINGFULL BIRTHDAY DURING PANDEMIC

My gracious nephew Engr. Bharrel Dela Cruz and family recently surprised me with an intimate dinner party on my birthday.

The event, which was carefully planned because of the pandemic, was held at Bharrel’s still under construction guest house.

Everyone got their creative juices flowing to spruce up the venue with fresh plants from the collections of Engr. Dela Cruz, table standing chandeliers, and silk white roses with flickering candles that welcomed our exclusive family well-wishers.

Social distancing and wearing of face mask were a must, although the masks were taken off as we shared great home cuisines, wines and cool beverages, and of course kodakan moments, dahlings.

“During this pandemic days science suggests that celebrations like this is good for our well-being,” according to my personal doctor Rollin Tabuena.

My family made feel loved on my special day, the sense that helps us feel less focused on our individual aging.

Cheers to that as we continue praying to God Almighty for our safety and of course to end this pandemic with silver lining.

Thank You Lord for the gift of family and humble life!

Cheers and be safe mga Palangga!
