BACOLOD City – The National Police Commission (Napolcom)-6 lauded the improvements made by E.B. Magalona Municipal Police Station in Negros Occidental two weeks after they were put in a bad light for uncleanliness and sleeping personnel.

Napolcom-6 director Atty. Joseph Celis revisited the station last Saturday and commended the personnel for their efforts in renovating some parts of the station.

Celis noticed the changes at the station, which included the presence of all duty personnel; renovation of facilities such as the roofs, ceiling, painting of walls, comfort rooms; and planting of vegetables outside a portion of the station, based on his Facebook post.

The improvement at the station was also made possible with the support of the local government unit.

Last May 14, Celis visited the station and was disappointed that four duty personnel were reportedly sleeping.

He also observed the filthy premises of the station and that the old unserviceable police vehicle blocked the other passageway. He also noticed that the gates were left open without sentries or guards.

Police Captain Eric Doronilla was immediately assigned to the station, replacing Police Lieutenant John Paul Tabujara, who was moved to Nocppo headquarters here.

Meanwhile, Police Colonel Romy Palgue, director of Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo), instructed all police station personnel to maintain a vegetable garden.
