Also slain in the town last Sunday was Samson Doong, 61, of Barangay Datag, a motorcycle-for-hire (habal-habal) driver.

Investigation showed that Doong ferried a passenger early that day to Sitio Pitogo in the said village.

The passenger gave Doong P500 and told the victim to fetch him again in the afternoon, based on the statement of Doong’s son.

The victim’s body was found later that day with a gunshot wound in the head. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
