The NBA-G League is letting Kai Sotto know that he is beloved.
After receiving a special package starter pack from the G-League which includes the official league backpack, a New Era cap, and basketball paraphernalia, president Shareef Abdur-Rahim followed it up with a heart-warming message.
“I want to start by first congratulating you on everything that you’ve accomplished so far, being one of the top-rated players in this year’s class. We want to welcome you to the NBA family,” said the G-league president.
Rahim and his staff takes great pride and honor in being able to land Sotto and the likes of Jalen Green, Isaiah Todd, and Daishen Nix who are all five-star high school recruits.
Despite the delay of their 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, president Abdur-Rahim is still finding ways to keep in touch with his players.
During Sotto’s unboxing video, president Abdur-Rahim emphasized that Sotto is the “best young player in Asia” and they are already excited to see him in action once the G-league resumes.
Tagged as the best center in Asia during his FIBA Asia stint when he was just 17-years-old, the basketball teen sensation is currently elevating his game with The Skills Factory in Atlanta.
