The New York Knicks achieved its longest winning streak of the ongoing NBA regular season following a demolition exhibition on the Washington Wizards, 134-106, on November 19, 2024.

With the victory, New York just extended its streak to three consecutive wins and garnered back-to-back double-digit dubs against their fellow Eastern Conference club.

The Knicks didn’t waste time from the get-go and dominated the game in the first quarter, already dropping 40 big points to blow the game wide-open heading into the second frame.

New York was rolling on both ends of the floor led by the waxing hot duo of Jalen Brunson and Karl Anthony-Towns who were unstoppable despite the tight perimeter defense being deployed by the Wizards.

The Knicks’ new superstar duo buckled to work and took turns cashing in baskets for New York, with Towns setting the tone with back-to-back power moves in the shaded lane followed by a series of fade-away jumpers from Brunson.

At the end of the first half, the Knicks already had a comfortable cushion of 19 points, 73-54, and ballooned their largest lead of the game after another dominant outing in the third.

New York outscored the Wizards 36-21 at the end of the third, capping off the first three quarters with a 34-point gap.

The Wizards tried to trim their deficit to as low as 20 points, as Jordan Poole was still in the game but the New York bench mob spoiled their plans as they hit a barrage of perimeter jump shots that kept their advantage to 25-30 points.

With six minutes still left in the game, Washington already waved the white flag and pulled out all of their starters.

Brunson spearheaded New York’s one-sided win with a double-double performance of 26 points and 11 rebounds in just 30 minutes of playing time.

Meanwhile, Towns backstopped Brunson with a 24-point outing, built from an efficient 8/14 shooting from the field, alongside 12 rebounds, and three dimes.

The Knicks will aim for their fourth consecutive win on November 21, 2024, as they travel to Arizona and set up an inter-conference clash with the Phoenix Suns.
