The Oklahoma City Thunder halted its two-game NBA losing streak after crushing the Los Angeles Lakers, 133-110, in the ongoing NBA season last December 1, 2023.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander once again ran the show for the young Thunder squad after dropping a game-high 33-point performance against LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

After a slow start at the end of the opening quarter, Alexander started to pick up his pace midway through the second frame as he drained eight straight buckets to help Oklahoma erase Los Angeles’ seven-point lead.

From there, the Thunder kicked off its insane scoring party spearheaded by its bench and never gave their lead away until the final buzzer.

Los Angeles looked to be in control of the ball game as they built a huge lead with three minutes remaining in the first quarter.

However, after the bench got it going from the three-point area, Oklahoma was able to trim their deficit to just seven points, 30-37.

Things then began to jive for the Thunder as the duo of Alexander and Jalen Williams did damage to Los Angeles that helped extend their advantage to 12 points heading into the second half.

The Lakers failed to win a single quarter the whole second half and could only watch Alexander pick them apart with his savvy moves to the basket.

Alexander finished the victory with 33 points, seven assists, four rebounds, and a steal while Williams added 21 big points in just 29 minutes of action.

On the other hand, the Lakers got a combined 52-point effort from James and Davis but the team only shot 36/81 from the field including 11/33 from the three-point area.

The Lakers will look to get back in the NBA winning column again on December 3, 2023, as they take on the Houston Rockets at home.
