After propelling the National University Bullpups to their second straight UAAP Juniors’ championship title, NU big man Kevin Quiambao was hailed as UAAP’s number 1 high school player.

The dominant big man served as NU’s main anchor underneath and is one of the most important pieces that helped them cap-off their magical season with a 16-0 regular season sweep while clinching the championship.

Averaging a staggering 12.6 points, 9.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.4 blocks per contest, Quiambao’s consistent numbers also boosted his seat in the UAAP Juniors’ mythical five squad.

Quiambao’s consistent level of play became one of the x-factors in their perfect regular season campaign as his polished post-game made him unstoppable in the shaded lane.

Also, Quiambao’s tremendous court vision tagged him as one of the best passing big men in the history of the UAAP juniors, able to dish out extra passes despite being double teamed.

His all-out performance in the UAAP finals against the pesky and tough FEU Baby Tamaraws further strengthened his case as the King of the UAAP Juniors.

Quiambao’s fundamentally sound post scoring against the FEU big men made it clear that he was unstoppable while grabbing tons of rebounds and swatting away their shots for the title.
