Emilio Aguinaldo College’s (EAC) most talented player during NCAA Season 98 is set for a highly-anticipated debut with the powerhouse College of Saint Benilde (CSB) Blazers.

Allen Liwag, EAC’s do-it-all combo forward who drew tons of praise after a stellar Season 98, completed his transfer to last season’s championship finalists last January 13, 2023.

It was Blazers’ chief tactician Charles Tiu who confirmed the development and welcomed Liwag with open arms to their talented pool of players.

“We are thrilled that he will be transferring to us. We feel happy as a program that a young player is entrusting himself to us, so we have a responsibility to guide him as a person and develop him as a player,” said Tiu.

Liwag quickly caught the attention of the collegiate hoops scene after putting up monster performances including a 22-point outing against the Mapua Cardinals last October 2022.

Aside from his quick feet for a big man, Liwag’s guard skills especially his handles and perimeter shooting made him one of the toughest players to guard in the NCAA.

His quick rise in the NCAA was also noticed by the Gilas Pilipinas men’s national basketball team after rewarding him with a spot in the pool for the 2023 FIBA World Cup Asian qualifiers.

Liwag is currently shooting the lights out in the ongoing Philippine Super League (PSL) for the Pampanga Royce.

However, Liwag will have to serve a one-year residency as part of the collegiate men’s basketball rules and can be activated by the Blazers after the upcoming NCAA Season 99.

“I offer my hard work and dedication to the game. I will do everything to help my team. My plan is to improve every single day so when Season 100 comes, I will be ready,” said Liwag.
