Negros Museum hosts Korean art exhibition and cultural exchange

The Negros Museum, together with the Korea-Philippines Festival Cultural Exchange Association, is gearing up to host a grand exhibition featuring traditional Korean art.

This cultural showcase, slated to run from April 19 to April 22, 2024, is set to present the unique and captivating works of three accomplished Korean women artists: Ms. Park Sang Jeong, Ms. Kim Mun Jeong, and Ms. Park Soyun.

Their artistic expressions will not be the only highlight; Dr. Jungwhan Kim, President of the Korea-Philippines Festivals Exchange Association, will enhance the experience with his expertise.

Dr. Kim is scheduled to deliver an insightful lecture on Korean Traditional Art on April 22. This educational engagement is eagerly anticipated by students of the Bachelor in Culture and Arts Education and Performing Art Scholars from Colegio San Agustin, as well as Architecture and Fine Arts students from La Consolation College.

The exhibit’s grand opening is expected to be nothing short of spectacular, set for April 19 at 5:00 pm at the Negros Museum.

The event will feature cultural performances by the Kagayon Dance Troupe from Colegio San Agustin and the Poseidon Dance Theater from VMA Global College, promising an evening of cultural enrichment and artistic splendor.
