BACOLOD CITY – Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Ceneco) has sought the assistance of Negros Electric and Power Corp. (Negros Power) to enhance maintenance capabilities and expedite outage restoration,
In response, Negros Power deployed six teams equipped with boom and bucket trucks and other repair tools.
“We are committed to providing reliable electricity service,” Ceneco General Manager Arnel Lapore said
To further enhance maintenance capabilities and expedite outage restoration, Lapore stated that Ceneco engaged the services of two contractors: Apostol General Services Inc. and Eagle Claw International Development Corporation.
Lapore emphasized that these contractors will work to ensure efficient maintenance of the distribution lines and swift resolution of power outages in the franchise area.
He noted that these engagements were made possible through collaboration with Negros Power.
The teams sent by Negros Power are working closely with Ceneco’s existing teams to ensure efficient maintenance of the distribution lines and swift resolution of power outages within the franchise area.
Lapore clarified that consumers will still contact the Ceneco helpline to report line troubles, and the Ceneco dispatcher will then pass the information to Negros Power teams to respond in the area.
Ceneco will continue to provide all materials needed for the repairs.
Lapore also requested the continued cooperation of consumers in this engagement, saying, “We appreciate your continued support and cooperation as we strive to deliver exceptional service.”
Ceneco and Negros Power have a joint venture agreement on power distribution services in Bacolod City and several cities in Negros Occidental.
The JVA is awaiting its congressional franchise which is already in the Senate.
