Recognizing the need for a stronger strategic communication presence, Iloilo State University of Fisheries Science and Technology has appointed key personnel across its five campuses and sites to lead the Public Affairs, Marketing, and Media Communication Office.
These appointments aim to enhance ISUFST’s branding, stakeholder engagement, and institutional visibility.
The newly designated campus chairpersons are Prof. Glysa Marie Regidor (Main Campus–Poblacion Site), Instructor John Christian Salarza (Main Campus–Tiwi Site), Instructor Russel Yamit (San Enrique Campus), Prof. Ram Eujohn Diamante (Dumangas Campus), and Instructor Leo Paparon (Dingle Campus).
Former Student Regent Jose Eugene Salazar also joins as PAMMCO staff, further strengthening the office’s operational capacity.
These appointments align with PAMMCO’s expanding initiatives in institutional branding, public relations, and media communication.

Instructor Russel Yamit: Championing Campus Journalism
With a background in journalism, marketing, and academic promotions, Instructor Yamit offers valuable experience to PAMMCO.
As adviser of the Igang Publication at ISUFST–San Enrique, he mentors student journalists and promotes credible campus reporting.
His skills in media content creation, editing, and scriptwriting have elevated ISUFST’s print and online presence.
A magna cum laude alumnus, Yamit also develops promotional materials for his campus, including flyers and accreditation documents.
His visual storytelling and media literacy expertise contribute to a dynamic and engaging campus image.
Under his guidance, student journalists have earned regional awards, reflecting his lasting impact on their growth.
Now assuming a larger role in PAMMCO, Yamit brings energy and fresh ideas to ISUFST’s marketing efforts, ensuring its stories resonate with broader audiences.
Instructor Leo Paparon: Hospitality and Strategic Branding
With more than 20 years of industry experience in events, marketing, and human resource development, Instructor Paparon brings practical knowledge to PAMMCO.
At ISUFST–Dingle’s College of Hospitality Management, his branding efforts have boosted enrollment and online engagement.
He is an accredited author and research writer, blending academic rigor with real-world insights.
Paparon has guided students to success in hospitality competitions, showing his strategic and creative strengths.
At PAMMCO, he is poised to lead campaigns, organize events, and promote the university’s achievements to a wider audience.
Prof. Ram Eujohn Diamante: Leading ISUFST’s Digital Branding
A specialist in digital media and information technology, Prof. Diamante strengthens PAMMCO’s digital outreach.
With a background in engineering, web design, and multimedia, he has helped shape his campus’s digital identity.
He brings expertise in graphic design, animation, and social media analytics—key tools in enhancing ISUFST’s digital brand.
At PAMMCO, Diamante will focus on social media trends, multimedia storytelling, and targeted campaigns to expand the university’s online presence.
His technical and creative skills ensure ISUFST’s accomplishments reach local and global audiences.
Prof. Glysa Marie Regidor: Linking Language and Communication
Prof. Glysa Marie Regidor, assistant professor at the Main Campus–Poblacion Site, brings a strong background in language education and media communication.
She is pursuing a Ph.D. in Education (Language Education) at UP Diliman and holds a master’s degree in English as a Second Language from UP Visayas.
A summa cum laude graduate of West Visayas State University, she has extensive experience in creative writing and cultural event organization.
Her teaching skills have guided students to success in writing and speaking contests locally and internationally.
With work experience in Japan, Australia, and the Philippines, Regidor now aims to create a media platform that connects ISUFST with stakeholders while upholding the university’s values.
Instructor John Christian Salarza: Leadership and Communication
Instructor Salarza, also known as Sir CJ, is Instructor II at the College of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences and the latest addition to PAMMCO.
A cum laude graduate of ISUFST, he holds a master’s degree in aquaculture and is pursuing a doctorate in fisheries technology.
He advises student councils and has experience in leadership, content creation, and sustainable fisheries research.
His past roles at Negros Oriental State University and participation in global conferences reflect his growing influence in the field.
As a former Student Trustee, Salarza brings institutional leadership and storytelling skills to PAMMCO, helping amplify ISUFST’s brand and reach.
Jose Eugene Salazar: Boosting Media Operations
Former Student Regent Jose Eugene Salazar joins PAMMCO to support media operations and stakeholder coordination.
