The design of the new Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Complex that will rise in New Clark City, Capas, Tarlac was recognized as one of the best in the world at the 2022 Architecture MasterPrize (AMP) design competition under the Architectural Design – Institutional Architecture category.
The design was created by Aidea, Inc. (Aidea), which won the contract via competitive bidding process. Aidea submitted the new BSP Complex design as an entry to the AMP design competition. It is the only Philippine entry that passed the initial screening of the AMP.
The AMP is an award-giving body that aims to set a global standard for architectural and design professionals.
The AMP honors the best in design excellence and innovation in architecture, interior, and landscape design, thereby advancing the appreciation of quality architectural design around the world.
The new BSP Complex is envisioned to be a global benchmark for a smart, green, and modern facility that promotes environmental sustainability and efficiency.
Extending the BSP’s presence and establishing a world-class campus outside the National Capital Region—which will house printing and minting facilities currently located in Quezon City for more than four decades—are likewise consistent with the government’s thrust to decongest the metropolis and stimulate economic growth in one of the fastest growing areas of the country.
