BACOLOD City – The assignment of personnel to their new positions at the Negros Occidental provincial capitol has started.

Newly-appointed Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz II said on July 2, 2019 that he was tasked by Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson to assign capitol personnel to their new designations.

Diaz said that since Monday, he had been processing appointment letters from the Provincial Legal Office (PLO) to the executive assistants for Lacson’s signature.

Diaz confirmed that all appointments had been signed, but 42 of the positions, such as his office and the PLO, still need the concurrence of the provincial board members.

“Hopefully we will endorse it, and by tomorrow (July 3, 2019) the provincial board can act on it,” Diaz said.

He also said that they have already started integrating themselves into the existing manpower and organizational structure of the provincial government.

“I’m focusing on putting all manpower in place, in order for all government functions to run smoothly,” he added.
