New settlements for Yolanda survivors in Roxas City

The National Housing Authority (NHA) turned over to the Roxas City government the Yolanda Resettlement Project for survivors of the super typhoon.

Cabinet Secretary Karlo Alexei Nograles led the turnover along with NHA Regional Manager Engr. Antonio P. Del Rosario, OIC District Manager Jesus G. Fantilaga, NHA – VI Chief Corporate Attorney John Leo D. Solinap, SP Chairperson Committee ok Housing / Urban Poor Councilor Trina Ignacio, Councilor Cora Tiangco, City Administrator Lorie Belle Usison, CGAD Ronald Amigo and other officials.

The Virtual Turnover included the completed Jumaguicjic Ville Site 1 & 2 and Tanza Ville under Yolanda Permanent Housing Project in Roxas City Capiz.

1,533 housing units in Jumaguicjic and Tanza Ville were formally turned over by NHA to the Roxas City government.

The settlement area aims to provide permanent houses to Roxas City residents who resided in danger zones and were displaced by typhoon Yolanda.

Mayor Ronnie Dadivas thanked the NHA for the project.

“Ang akon pagpasalamat sa NHA sa sini nga proyekto nga makabulig sa mga informal settlers sang Roxas City. Aton lang guinapanugyan sa mga resipyente nga halungan ang ila housing units kapareho sang pagproteksyon sini sa inyo sa tion sang kalamidad kag paghatag sang desente nga panimalay kag pangabuhi,” Dadivas said.

Dadivas said many informal settlers in the city who still live in danger zones need their own homes and he hopes that NHA will continue to help the LGU.
