ROXAS CITY, Capiz— The number one kagawad (village council member) of Brgy. 3 here took his oath of office Tuesday afternoon as the new Punong Barangay.

Nelson Ignacio replaced the late village chief Ruben Gudo Fuentes who was stabbed dead by a construction worker outside a videoke bar on McKinley street here in December last year 2020.

Ignacio took his oath of office before Roxas City Mayor Ronnie Dadivas at the City Hall.

Businessman Jose Miguel Albar also took his oath of office as the new Kagawad of the same barangay that was left vacant by Ignacio.

Ignacio vowed to investigate the proliferation of KTV bars in their barangay, especially their business permits from the city government.
