NFA-Iloilo releases rice for Muslim families in Iloilo City and province

The National Food Authority (NFA) Council donated a total of 1,260 bags of rice to the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) intended for distribution to Muslim family beneficiaries affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and recent typhoons.

100 bags were allocated for Muslim families in Iloilo City and Iloilo province.

On March 17, 2021, the Office of National Commission on Muslim Filipinos-Visayas spearheaded by Regional Director Onasis Omar Balt and in coordination with the Office of the Iloilo City Mayor, represented by Executive Assistant for Research and Muslim Affairs Ret. Col. Guillermo J. Matiling Jr., withdrew 100 bags of rice from NFA-Iloilo Branch Office.

Present during the withdrawal and to oversee the releasing process were Acting Regional Manager Oliver L. Cambas, Acting Branch Manager Josephine Venus D. Castillo and Acting Assistant Branch Manager Ma. Theresa O. Alarcon.

The distribution of NFA rice by the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos for Iloilo City and Iloilo Province was held at Jaro Plaza.

A total of 532 Muslim families became recipients of NFA rice.
