No PUI cops in Capiz

ROXAS CITY, Capiz— No members of the Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) assigned at the quarantine control points were considered as a Person Under Investigation (PUI) for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Police Colonel Julio Gustilo, Jr., CPPO police director, said the police officers assigned at the checkpoints were aware of the so-called “Do’s and Don’t’s” as frontliners.

Police are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPEs) such as face mask or face shield and hand gloves while on duty. The frontliners were also provided with vitamins and foods.

But Gustilo said there were police officers considered as Persons Under Monitoring (PUM), particularly in Pilar town because one of them had contact with a COVID-19 patient.

But on April 8, the officers returned to their assignments after completing the 14 days mandatory home quarantine without developing COVID-19 symptoms.
