The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office’s (NOCPPO) 74th Founding Anniversary Celebration culminated on August 31, 2019 at NOCPPO Parade Ground, Camp Alfredo M Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City.
The four-day celebration themed “Serving Negros Occidental for 74 years and counting” started Aug 28, 2019 with various activities.
During the first day, a mass was held at St Michael’s Chapel. The Kiosks from different Cities and Municipalities in Negros displayed various local products.
A poster making contest was held during the opening day. The second and third day included ball games. A fun run activity opened the fourth day followed by Laro ng Lahi and in the afternoon the closing program.
During the closing program, NOCPPO cited the personnel who rendered exemplary duty in various fields, recognized its partners in its transformation program, the stakeholders who have contributed to the success of the unit in media relations and likewise, the individuals and organizations who provided support to the office.
The highlight of the program is the acknowledgment of the Montelibano Family who helped establish the NOCPPO Camp after the World War. The plaque was received by Andrew L. Montelibano, one of the heirs of the late Alfredo Montelibano Sr.
In the evening, a fellowship dinner was held and the draw of the raffle.
The winners were: PCMS Ellias Nillos of San Enrique who won the third prize, a mountain bike; Pat Argie Talabera of NOCPMF who won the Rusi Motorcycle as Second Prize; and PCpl Reinier Rosura who received the Chevrolet Spark as the Grand Prize.
“This initiative was the first in the history of NOCPPO, I hope this would become a tradition. A good way to tell the people of the resilience and resoluteness of Negros Occidental cops in serving the people of Negros,” said PCOL Romeo A Baleros, Provincial Director, NOCPPO.
