Novak Djokovic still dominates Grand Slam finals.
Entering the 2021 Australian Open Finals with a 20-match winning streak, young tennis sensation Daniil Medvedev was looking to carry the momentum and keep the streak alive.
However, championship finalist staple Novak Djokovic outlasted him in three sets, 7-5, 6-2, 6-2 to clinch his 9th Australian title and his 18th Grand Slam.
The 25-year-old young star showed signs of life after forcing Djokovic into a tiebreaker but wasn’t enough to put down the Serbian.
In the succeeding sets, Djokovic was too much for Medvedev, attacking from different angles.
