Another new franchise just accepted the challenge of going up against the greatest Filipina players in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).

Welcome to the PVL, NXLED Chameleons!

The recent PVL update was confirmed last August 11, 2023 after Akari sports director Russel Balbacal announced NXLED’s participation in the upcoming All-Filipino Conference this coming October.

“We envision the NXLED Chameleons as a team that can swiftly adapt to any opponent they encounter in the PVL. Our focus is on crafting a dynamic and competitive team, not just for a fleeting moment but as a long-term participant in the league,” said Balbacal.

NXLED is a company that provides luxury lighting in the Philippines and is one of the newest stores where you can purchase a curated selection of modern accent lights.

The company is under the Akari Lighting & Technology Corporation which joined the PVL two conferences ago.

“We are forming Nxled not only to promote the brand but also to reinforce our commitment to the sport and its players,” added Balbacal.

However, the newest PVL franchise is yet to form a team that can keep up with the level of competition in the only volleyball pro league in the country.

Aside from the missing players, NXLED will also undergo the process of selecting its coaching staff and managerial board.

Their sister company meanwhile, the Akari Chargers, is on its way to their desired path after acquiring super rookie Faith Nisperos last conference.

Mentoring Nisperos as the team’s next franchise player is national team staple and veteran outside hitter Dindin Santiago-Manabat.

Despite them playing together last conference, the Chargers still missed the opportunity to punch a ticket to the Final Four.
