One Capiz political party launched in Roxas City

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — The One Capiz Political Party was launched on Monday morning, Sept. 23, during the 2024 Provincial Executive Council meeting at the Dinggoy Roxas Civic Center.

The One Capiz Political Party is a coalition of political leaders from both the 1st and 2nd districts of Capiz.

The party aims to accelerate economic development and promote transparency in governance through collaboration and unified leadership for the benefit of Capiceños.

Governor Fredinil “Oto” Castro led the launch as party chairperson, while former Secretary Manuel “Mar” Roxas was named chairman of the One Capiz Advisory Council.

Vice Governor Jaime “Jamie” O. Magbanua was appointed president for the 2nd district, while Congressman Emmanuel “Tawe” Billones was designated president for the 1st district.

Castro and Magbanua are both seeking re-election under the One Capiz coalition.

Before the official launch, the party held an Executive Committee Meeting (EXECOM) at the Civic Center.

The One Capiz coalition includes local leaders from the Liberal Party and Partido Lakas CMD.

Among the local leaders who attended the launch were Roxas City Mayor Ronnie Dadivas and Vice Mayor Teresa Almalbis, along with 1st District mayors Vicente Bermejo (Panay), Katherine Belo (Panitan), Raymond Malapajo (Maayon), Henry Tumlos (Pontevedra), and Arnold Perez (Pilar).

From the 2nd District, attendees included Mayors Felipe Neri Yap (Ivisan), Jose Villanueva (Sapian), Dante Rizal Eslabon (Sigma), Jose Jimbo Barruela (Dao), Maria Concepcion Castro (Dumalag), Mac Arthur Valdemar (Jamindan), and Mateo Hachuela (Dumarao).

All incumbent mayors are seeking re-election in the 2025 midterm elections.
