Gone in 23 seconds.

Filipino mixed martial artist (MMA) Carlo Bumina-ang was true to his words when he said that his opponent wouldn’t last long with him inside the ring.

In an attempt to extend his undefeated winning streak in the ONE Fighting Championship, the Team Lakay superstar lived up to the expectations after finishing Ilyas Dursun of Turkey in just 23 seconds of the opening round last December 8, 2023, held at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Bumina-ang swiftly took down his Turkish opponent in just two punches. The first hit came from a solid right hook that knocked Dursun down to the canvas.

However, Dursun quickly got up to his feet, only to be knocked out to the ropes with a vicious left hook straight to his haw.

Known to be a heavy-hitting fighter, the Filipino striker surprised Dursun in the first 10 seconds after unleashing several leg kicks.

Those leg kicks then proved to be a beautiful setup to his desired stance that gave him the space to throw his signature power hook punches.

During the post-match interview, Bumina-ang explained that once he saw the Turkish fighter switch stance within his attacking range, he didn’t hesitate to pull the trigger and fire the huge haymaker.

With the win, the Filipino superstar in the making is still undefeated since entering the ONE FC promotion last August 4, 2023.

In just a span of five months, Bumina-ang was able to clinch three straight wins against Reza Saedi, Denis Andreev, and now Dursun.
