BACOLOD City – A man was injured after his pick-up truck rammed into two vehicles and three houses along Araneta Street, Barangay Tangub here early Wednesday.

Wounded was Jay Philip Uy, 29, of the said village.

Police Major Charles Gever, head of Police Station 8, said Uy was allegedly speeding on his way home around 4 a.m. when he allegedly dozed off which caused the accident. He reportedly came from a party, the city police chief added.

Gever said Uy hit an electrical post first and hit a pedicab and motorcycle parked at the roadside, before hitting three houses.

“Fortunately nobody got injured inside the houses which were damaged in the accident,” he added.

Gever said they cannot yet tell if the pick-up driver was under the influence of liquor when it happened.
