ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 25-year-old male from Dayao village here was the fourth Capiceño and the second person from Roxas City to test positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
According to Mayor Ronnie Dadivas, the patient traveled to Metro Manila and arrived in Roxas City on March 14, 2020.
Dadivas mayor said the man was in stable condition and asymptomatic, meaning he had no symptoms of the ailment.
Despite being asymptomatic, the patient is in quarantine at Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital.
Health officials here conducted contact tracing of all persons who were exposed to the patient and they are now under home quarantine.
Dadivas said he will place Dayao under extreme community quarantine and temporarily close identified places and compounds where the new COVID-19 patient was spotted.
Last week, a 60-year-old woman also from Dayao was the first casualty of COVID-19 here.
