OneBPO wins bronze Asia-Pacific Stevie Award 2024

OneBPO, a business process outsourcing (BPO) company headquartered in Iloilo City, garners a Bronze Stevie Award for its outstanding performance during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The award, announced as part of the esteemed Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards for 2024, recognizes OneBPO’s entry titled ‘Thriving Amidst the Uncertainty of the COVID-19 Pandemic’ in the Customer Service Management, Planning & Practice in Other Service Industries category.

Among over 1,000 submissions from 29 countries, OneBPO is the sole Iloilo-based company honored in the mentioned category, alongside two distinguished Australian businesses.

OneBPO’s President and CEO Alice Grace Ledesma-Bautista took on a social media post to announce the achievement and expressed her gratitude, stating:

“We did not only survive, we thrived as a business and I am very grateful that our story resonated with many, including the Stevie Awards Professional Voting Committee.”

The Stevie Awards, renowned as one of the most prestigious accolades globally, celebrate the innovative and exceptional accomplishments of business executives and workers worldwide,

receiving over 12,000 nominations annually across various categories from organizations spanning more than 70 nations.

In an interview with Daily Guardian, Ledesma-Bautista affirmed the company’s commitment to continuous improvement and expressed excitement about representing Iloilo City amongst the distinguished cohort of businesses from across the Asia Pacific region.

“Being honored with the Stevie Awards badge not only underscores our team’s cohesive collaboration, particularly during challenging times, but also symbolizes our unwavering dedication to delivering reliable services despite external variables,” the CEO expressed.

“At OneBPO, we believe in continuous improvement, we truly value the principles of sincerity and appreciation and we know that we can position ourselves better in the customer service industry with this recognition,” she added.

She further shared that OneBPO’s success during the pandemic was marked by strategic contingency plans and effective communication with clients.

The company promptly engaged clients to appraise them of circumstances and explore alternative solutions, maintaining transparency and prioritizing client preferences throughout.

Operationally, OneBPO segmented accounts into high-risk and low-risk categories, swiftly introducing work-from-home options for low-risk accounts and accommodating high-risk accounts in in-house facilities.

The company’s CEO also personally visited its major clients in the United States when pandemic restrictions eased, expressing gratitude for their support.

Acknowledging the contributions of team members across various departments, Ledesma-Bautista thanked individuals from Facilities, Finance, Human Resources, IT, and Operations for ensuring continuity and success amidst the pandemic.

Looking ahead, OneBPO aims to build upon this achievement and continue its trajectory of success in the industry.

With a vision to create 1,000 job opportunities by 2027, the company plans to leverage this recognition to engage with a broader clientele on a global scale, particularly in customer service.

The official acceptance of the award is scheduled to take place at a Gala event on May 24, 2024, at Shangri La, The Fort BGC in Manila.
