Open an account via the app now!: LANDBANK launches GoBayani digital deposit account for OFWs

The Land Bank of the Philippines (LANDBANK) has introduced the GoBayani savings account, a new digital deposit service tailored for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and overseas Filipinos. This initiative aims to provide secure, reliable, and convenient banking solutions to Filipinos abroad.

The GoBayani account offers digital access to LANDBANK’s services, enabling users to conduct various transactions online. These include fund transfers to family members in the Philippines, e-commerce transactions, and receiving remittances via Visa Direct through international Visa partners.

Users can also digitally pay bills and soon make contributions to Pag-Ibig Fund, Social Security System (SSS), and PhilHealth.

“We are cheering on our kababayans abroad to save and grow their money through LANDBANK GoBayani. We want to support every step of their journey towards financial independence for them and their families back home,” said LANDBANK President and CEO Lynette V. Ortiz.

To promote GoBayani and other digital services, LANDBANK representatives will visit overseas Filipinos in the United Arab Emirates, Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan this June.

EASY ACCOUNT OPENING

Overseas Filipinos can open a GoBayani account without an initial deposit or maintaining balance using the LANDBANK Mobile Banking App (MBA). This new feature allows users to set up their accounts within minutes.

“Investing in our digital infrastructure forms part of our response to the increasing demand for convenient digital solutions. We are continuously enhancing our digital offerings to deliver a seamless banking experience to our customers and expand financial access to all,” Ortiz added.

Apart from GoBayani, customers can also open a LANDBANK PISO Plus basic deposit account and a regular LANDBANK Visa debit account through the MBA.

The app provides services such as fund transfers, bill payments, balance inquiries, and salary loan applications.

Customers also benefit from free fund transfers to other banks via InstaPay and PESONet for the first three transactions per day worth ₱1,000 and below.

To open a LANDBANK account, clients need a smartphone with the latest version of the LANDBANK MBA, a secure internet connection, and one of the following valid IDs: Philippine Passport, Driver’s License, SSS, UMID, PRC ID, or PhilSys ID.
