ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) here on Friday approved an ordinance setting the tariffs for the Real Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) Test in preparation for the opening of its Containerized-Relocatable RT-PCR testing laboratory.

City Councilor Midelo Ocampo said residents who are suspected COVID cases and high-risk contacts will not pay for the test.

But individuals who will undergo testing for personal transactions have to pay P4,000.

Ocampo said the ordinance is needed before they can collect the testing fees.

Earlier, Roxas City Mayor Ronnie Dadivas requested the Sangguniang Panlungsod to hold a special session for the approval of the ordinance.

The city government also created the Anti-Covid Task Force to run after individuals who are not wearing face masks and face shields.

The task force has apprehended more than 100 violators since its operations.
