Over 100 individuals lose homes in fire

BACOLOD CITY – A total of 144 individuals or 47 families were displaced after a fire broke out at Purok Interior, Barangay 18 here on Saturday morning.

According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Bacolod, the fire reportedly originated from the house of Encarnacion Rodriguez around 8:51 a.m.

The fire was raised to third alarm, destroying a total of 16 houses, and partially damaging three others.

The blaze left an estimated P3 million worth of damage to properties. Fire out was declared at 10:14 a.m., with no injuries reported.

The BFP has yet to determine the cause of fire.
